In May 2023, Casey passed away in Rocklin, California, after pulling his automobile over to the side of the road to assist a family of ducks across a street.
A passenger’s youngster, who saw the father’s deed of generosity, told KCRA 3 about it as follows: Everyone clapped because he was being so kind as he shooed the ducks after getting out of the car.All of the young baby duckies were having difficulty getting up over the curb, so he assisted them before walking in front of our automobile.
Casey’s sweet moment was cut short when an adolescent driver’s car struck him a few moments later.
Children who witnessed the incident, according to Summer Peterson, told CBS 13 that they thought it was adorable. It’s really kind of him. And suddenly, without warning, a car struck him.
The unidentified motorist was helpful, and a representative for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office told NBC News that it is doubtful the 17-year-old will face charges in connection with the incident.
“We still have a lot of areas and evidence to sort through, but at first look, it does not look like there’s going to be any criminal negligence,” the official told the news site.
Following the tragedy, Casey’s aunt Tracey Rivara started a GoFundMe page with the goal of raising money for his wife and two kids.
She wrote: “Casey was the kindest, most amazing husband and father” on the crowdfunding website. His final deed in this life was an indication of his compassion. After such a great loss, the family is attempting to figure out how to move on and heal. In place of flowers, food, and other gestures of kindness, we kindly ask that you make a donation here to show your love and support for Angel and her family.
